The Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated in central and southern Mexico.

Although this holiday coincides with the Catholic All Soul's Day and All Saint's Day, it focuses on honoring the deceased loved ones.

November 2nd is officially the celebrated holiday while November 1st is officially Día de los Inocentes ("Day of the Innocents").

On November 1st is when the deceased children come back to visit their loved ones.

The holiday is usually celebrated in private with decorations and family gatherings around graves.

As we move into the future , more mass celebrations have been accepted.

On November 2nd the Day of the Dead parade occurred in Mexico and was very beautiful!

This is the perfect time for people to see the famous sugar skull makeup used historically.

These traditional costumes and makeup are used to honor their deceased loved ones.

Not only is it celebrated in Mexico but also other countries such as Ecuador , and Brazil.

What a beautiful way to end Halloween and celebrate loved ones.
